People of a country where English is not their mother tongue use English in the same way - they'll argue the toss in their own language then fire off a coup de grâce in English to clearly state "I'm educated - don't fucking bother arguing any more with me, you thick peasant!"

Yes. People only pretend to like him to get an acting job, pass GCSE’s or to appear intellectual. It’s all in a foreign language and his comedies are shit

Absolutely not. I think his work is really unappreciated, but has had an undeniable everlasting impact and influence on culture, language and storytelling globally.

Millions of GCSE students have been bored senseless by his work. Thank fuck I didn't have to study it, Catcher in the Rye, The Crucible, Of Mice and Men, The Red Pony, Kestrel for a Knave much better!
